GetMeAJob is a job-search assistant used through Telegram, run as a small private pilot by one person in the UK. That person decides how your information is used (the "controller" under UK data protection law). You can reach them at a.c.otutu93@gmail.com.
Everything above is used only to give you the service you asked for: finding jobs, writing your documents, tracking applications and reminding you. GetMeAJob relies on your consent, which it asks for before it stores anything, and which you can withdraw at any time with /privacy in the bot.
It never sells your information, never uses it for advertising, and never shares it with employers. It sends nothing to an employer for you.
If you choose to connect your Gmail account, GetMeAJob asks Google for read-only access. It uses that access only to:
It keeps only those short notes, linked to your applications. It does not store your emails, never reads or keeps messages unrelated to job applications beyond checking whether they are job-related, cannot send, change or delete anything in your mailbox, and never uses your mail to train AI models.
GetMeAJob's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect at any time in the bot, or from your Google Account under Security, then Third-party connections.
Your information is kept while you use GetMeAJob. When you send /delete, it is removed from the live database straight away, and from backups within 35 days. Sent emails are removed from the email queue after 30 days.
In the bot, /export sends you everything GetMeAJob holds about you, /delete removes it all, and /privacy lets you change your choices. You can also email a.c.otutu93@gmail.com to ask for a copy, a correction or deletion, or with any question. If you are unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the bot will tell you before the change applies.
